The audio wave files were made by digitizing casette copies made in the 1990's
of the original tapes. Five cassettes were recorded on both sides, and the 
corresponding  digital files are labelled tape1a, tape1b, ... .   

According to the transcripts there were 7 original tapes and we think that 
these masters were copied to the 5 cassettes in our possession. The narrative
transcription available on this site refers to the original tape numbers.

The original tapes are kept in the archives of the University of Louisville.
Walter Moore verbally authorized use of his history for educational purposes 
before his passing.
