2017-11-26 ========== J. Kielkopf CDK20N grizbV Select images in Sloan z (near infrared) and Johnson Cousins V (green) showing the first quarter Moon. The fits files should be flipped left-right to render them the way they would appear on the the sky. The png files are representative of the full frame view of the fits files, but a detailed look at the original images will show more than is apparent in the png rendering because of the large dynamic range of the original data. This is especially true in the north polar regions of the Moon, and in the shadowed interior of Plato. The image "moon_00063_V_blr.fits" has been deconvolved for instrumental response with a Lucy-Richadson maximum entropy algorithm to remove a 2 pixel point spread function. Image details -- Opened at 17:15 EST Cooled to -5 C 49.1 F 41% H 30.15 in Clear Moon transits at 19:00 EST. Neptune is 11 minutes east. First images in V are very nice. Plato is heavily shadowed. Reduced flux with dome azimuth keeping exposure at the minimum 0.05 seconds. Last exposures in z' have good dynamic range and contrast.
